Teacher Incentive Allotment

The Texas Teacher Incentive Allotment Program (TIA) was created by the Texas Legislature as a part of House Bill 3 as a pathway to increase teacher pay and help attract and retain highly effective teachers.
- There are three levels of designation - Recognized, Master, Exemplary.
- National Board Certified Teachers automatically earn a Recognized designation.
- Designations stay with teachers for 5 years even if they change school districts.
- School districts will receive $3-$32K annually per designated teacher.
- High need campuses receive an additional multiplier for funding based upon teacher designation level.
- 90% of funding must be spent on teacher compensation on the campus where the designated teacher works.

The Local Committee has prioritized clear, consistent communication by posting all TIA meeting dates and presentations to the TIA page and responding to all questions sent to the TIA email address.
